Our team is passionate about providing excellent care. It's what drives us. Our team prides itself on being sympathetic and sensitive to the emotions and feelings of all our residents, which we believe sets us apart from other care homes in the area.
At Rosedale House Residential Care Home, we are developing a new dementia care module, where we encourage staff and residents to be themselves.
Our aim is to focus on "Being - an approach to life and dementia". This helps people with dementia, including their families, friends, staff, managers and organisations, to see that "being person centred" is a belief system.
Our Award-Winning Care Home in Bristol
We aim to provide a new inspirational culture of care for people we care for, by putting the feelings of people at the core of the care we provide.
Feelings definitely matter most at Rosedale House and this is reflected every day in the way everyone lives here together, with support, love, affection and attention paid to their feelings. Putting the people that live here at Rosedale at the centre of everything. Creating an atmosphere that can be described as fun and loving and where residents feel at home to be themselves as much as they can be. We create spaces that are snug and homely with items that matter to the people we care for.
The owner, manager and team make exceptional leaps of commitment to continue to provide what matters most to people living at Rosedale House.
The Butterfly Effect
Our care home has been privileged to undergo intensive training by David Sheard, a renowned figure in the world of dementia care. Through his Butterfly Household Model of Care, David Sheard emphasizes the importance of emotional intelligence, creating household environments, and promoting feelings-based care.
His innovative approach has equipped our staff with the tools and mindset to offer deeper connections, understand the emotional needs of our residents with dementia, and create a living environment that feels more like home than an institution. By integrating David Sheard's teachings into our daily routines, we've witnessed transformative changes in the well-being and happiness of our residents.
